When I enter my credentials, the connection hangs and eventually fails with nothing happening.

Please make sure to check your network configuration, and any firewall policies that may block traffic on the port used to connect to our data warehouse.

I manage several companies on Pennylane, how can I retrieve data from all of them in one connection?

Since January 2024, the credentials used in data sharing reflect the user’s permissions on Pennylane.

If you were using a firm or business owner access until now, you can simply re-enable data sharing via your connectivity settings, and replace your old credentials with the new ones in the tools you use. Without any service interruption or data loss, your new credentials will give you access to all companies you have sufficient rights on that warehouse.

This does not cover companies hosted on a dedicated warehouse (in particular BDO). Those need a second connection, as explained in the question below.

Some companies are missing (for example BDO dossiers). Do I need another connection?

Yes, if those companies sit on a dedicated warehouse. BDO-managed companies are a typical case: their data is not on the default Data Sharing server.

A connection only returns companies that exist on that Server URL. In Pennylane, Settings → Connectivity → Data sharing currently shows a single set of credentials, the one for the warehouse where they were first created. It will not switch to the other Server if you open a company from the other group.

To get the full dataset, add a second connection in your BI tool (Power BI, MyReport, etc.) with the other Server URL. Username is the same (u_…). Port and database are unchanged. Ask Pennylane support if the second Server is not listed on the Data sharing screen.
