When I enter my credentials, the connection hangs and eventually fails with nothing happening.

Please make sure to check your network configuration, and any firewall policies that may block traffic on the port used to connect to our data warehouse.

I manage several companies on Pennylane, how can I retrieve data from all of them in one connection?

Unfortunately this is not supported at the moment. You will need to retrieve data for all individual companies using their respective credentials, and merge it together later. Some Business Intelligence tools offer relatively simple ways to achieve this too.
